Jacob Elias crafts musical instruments in his rustic shop in a meadow outside of Ithaca, NY. His instruments are played by professional and amateur musicians alike. While his practice adheres mainly to old Italian (Cremonese) construction principles, the instruments incorporate elements of other practices when they call for it. Jacob is enthusiastic about working with players, and incorporating their experiences and preferences into custom crafted instruments.
